OTHER TIRES TO CONSIDER

Excellent Tires

I liked them so much that I bought the very same tires to replace the other ones that just reached their end of life.

Toyo Proxes Sport AS 215/50R17XL 95W BSW

CAR: 2008-ACURA TSX I'M AN EXTREME FUSS-POT AND AFTER RESEARCHING OPTIONS FOR MY TSX-IT CAME DOWN TO YOKOHAMA VS TOYO'S. I HAVE 7-CARS AND HAVE TOYO'S AND YOKOHAMA'S ON OTHERS. ALL HAVE BEEN EXCELLENT. MY FIRST CRITERIA IS APPEARANCE, THEN NOISE. EVERYTHING ELSE IS DOWNHILL FOR ME. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE DESIGN-LOOK OF THESE TIRES. THEY LOOK LIKE A RACING TIRE THE WAY THE TOYO NAME AND INFO IS DESIGNED-DISPLAYED. NICE AND QUIET; BRAKING, HANDLING, CORERING, STABILITY IS EXCELLENT. I DID HAVE TROUBLE FINDING STOCK. GIGA WAS MY DEALER. COST WAS SUPER REASONABLE. TRUST IN JAPAN INC. THEY KNOW HOW TO DESIGN AND MANUF. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THANK U TOYO.

Good Handling and Low Noise

I have just put it 2 of these tires on my 2001 Camry. I like how it handles and brakes. The ride quality seems to be a bit better than the previous Sentury Touring tires I had. I will update later on the treadwear and durability of the tire. So far so good. Recommended.

Excellent For The Price Point And Purpose

I purchased the car used with Michelin Defender high mileage tires, including previous owner and my mileage, I got 90k miles out of the Michelins. However they rode hard over pavement irregularities and I was not impressed with wet weather traction. I'm an independent courier and drive my personal car for work, 65k plus miles a year. The Extensas IIs are a much better ride, and much better in wet weather and light winter conditions. They are also a more quiet ride than the previous tire. For a courier a comfortable, quiet ride greatly improves work. I ran the original Extensa on my previous cars and enjoyed them as well, and these AS IIs are even better in heavy rain. I cannot vouch for mileage warranty on these yet, however the original Extensa AS tires got me every mile they promised and then some. I'm a Toyo die hard now. I replaced the Michelins on my 4x4 SUV years ago, and like the ones on my sedan, they lasted forever, but off road were a letdown. Open Country AT IIs, and the mountain top is the limit literally.

Perfect For Those Who Want To Drive...

Great tires overall, drive them on my '17 Corolla XSE. I take my car auto crossing and drive with a heavy foot, these tires don't let me down. Definitely need a few minutes or miles to warm them up, but once they're warm they stick great. I will not be trying them in the snow, as I switch to winter sets. But for rain and extreme cold they have held well.

Tough Enough For Scorching Texas Highways

I'll be honest; I drive fast and I'm hard on tires. I corner tight, I brake heavy, I accelerate hard (for a Corolla..), and I like to be where I'm going. I enjoy driving, and I do it in one of the most brutal environments in the world for a tire; on the sun-baked scorching hot asphalt of South Texas roads. These just passed 20k miles of hard city and highway driving and they're still holding strong. Lesser tires de-laminate and bubble on long summer trips, or the sidewalls soften up and start to handle like garbage with city driving. Not these. These have survived potholes, gravel roads, my wife, and highway-speed evasive maneuvers that would have torn the sidewall out of a lesser tire. They've got the grip to come to a quick stop, they stick like gum on aggressive take-offs, and they've kept the car on rails though water that could have easily had me hydroplaning. I'm ordering another set to go with a fresh suspension overhaul and alignment, but they're still in great condition with far more tread left than I would have expected after the miles and abuse I put them through. I'm very critical of most products I buy, but these have exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds and earned some props. Nice job Toyo folks; you really nailed it with these Extensas. If these tires can survive me and the scorching Wild Horse Desert, it'll be a cake-walk for the more temperate climates and drivers out there. Haha...
